Position Overview

As the Head of Live Event Production and AV Services, you will oversee the daily operations and management of the Events Production & Staging team. Your role will encompass strategic planning, reporting, and team leadership to ensure exceptional client service and satisfaction. You will supervise the delivery of a comprehensive range of AV services, including event support, presentation, lighting, staging, and creative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage, supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate team members.
  • Oversee operational functions.
  • Ensure flawless execution of high-profile events from inception to completion.
  • Lead the team to ensure adequate staffing for events.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet operational needs.
  • Ensure the team maintains inventory standards and promptly addresses issues.
  • Collaborate closely with event planners, clients, technicians, and facility managers to implement AV solutions that meet event objectives.
  • Conduct site visits with clients to assess their specific requirements for AV support.
  • Coordinate with clients before, during, and after events to ensure proper staffing and make real-time adjustments as needed.
  • Occasionally serve as a contingency technician, assisting with equipment setup and configuration.
  • Work with external vendors and labor sources to optimize staffing solutions.

Position Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (5+ years).
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience with direct reports.
  • Familiarity with information technology systems and network operations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Knowledge of industry-standard AV technologies and best practices.
  • Ability to climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must possess a clean driving record and be able to operate company vehicles safely.
  • Flexible schedule required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations effectively and professionally.
  • Demonstrated leadership and planning skills.
  • Strong team-oriented approach and customer focus.
