Position Overview:
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director of Re-entry Programs, this role involves providing comprehensive academic guidance and support services to students who have paused their studies and those seeking to complete their undergraduate education at the University of California.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver professional advice on academic policies and procedures related to the University of California Reengagement Consortium (UCRC) degree-completion initiative.
- Assist students in navigating re-admission or transfer pathways to UC, as well as alternative educational options such as certification programs.
- Collaborate with the Associate Dean, Assistant Director, and other stakeholders in the development of office policies aimed at enhancing the delivery of academic advising and support services.
Decision-Making:
- Make informed decisions regarding academic pathways, late course actions, and other significant matters affecting individual students.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with various departments including Undergraduate Education, the Office of the University Registrar, Undergraduate Admissions, Financial Aid, and other related student affairs offices to facilitate student progress towards degree or certificate completion.
Compensation:
The full salary range for this position is $51,600 - $87,000 annually, with an expected pay scale of up to $65,000 annually. Salary offers are based on a variety of factors including education, experience, and organizational needs.
Additional Information:
Applicants must possess current work authorization upon accepting a staff position. Sponsorship for employment visas is not available for this role. Compliance with all applicable University policies and collective bargaining agreements is required.
