We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Academic Advisor to join our team at the University of California, Riverside. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing academic advising to undergraduate students, primarily Undeclared, Pre-Business, and students seeking readmission.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the Undeclared program and provide fundamental academic advising to current undergraduate students and prospective students.
- Develop and implement college-level programming to enhance academic advising to targeted populations with specialized needs.
- Coordinate the CHASS communication cycle and serve as the primary liaison to CHASS First for the Undeclared program.
- Use principles of developmental academic advising and knowledge of teaching and learning theory to promote academic, career, and life goals.
- Serve as liaison to department academic advisors in assigned departments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in academic advising, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations. A bachelor's degree in a related field is required, and a master's degree is preferred.
We offer a competitive salary range of $56,000 - $96,400 annually, based on education, licensure, certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
