About the Opportunity

This role is designed to provide academic guidance and support to undergraduate students enrolled in pathway programs offered on Northeastern network campuses. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Director of Global Undergraduate Academic Advising to deliver student-focused academic advising, identifying students' interests, abilities, and academic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work in partnership with academic advising units on the Boston and other global campuses to perform general advising duties and provide academic advising support for the undergraduate pathway program student population.
  2. Teach sections of Introduction to College, collaborating with undergraduate academic advising units on the Boston campus to develop new course modules and teaching methods.
  3. Take initiative in collaborating with other departments/offices on campus, such as the Registrar, the Office of Global Services, and WeCare, and participate in committees relating to advising.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree and 2-3 years of relevant professional experience, with a Master's Degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Social Work, or other relevant fields preferred. Experience working with diverse student populations, excellent oral and written communication skills, and understanding of educational requirements and advising processes are essential.
