About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Coordinator to join our team at Prism Electric. As a key member of our safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, customers, and the general public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Safety Programs: Create and implement effective safety programs to prevent accidents and injuries on our construction sites.
  • Conduct Safety Audits and Inspections: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide Safety Training and Coaching: Provide safety training and coaching to our employees to ensure they have the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their jobs safely.
  • Investigate Incidents and Near Misses: Investigate incidents and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams: Work closely with project teams to ensure safety is integrated into all aspects of our construction projects.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. environmental health and safety, occupational health and safety) and 1-3 years of experience in construction safety.
  • Certifications and Training: OSHA 30 Construction certification and experience with construction workforce management.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in using a computer and Microsoft Office.
