Compensation: $23.00 per hour


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and implement the Company Safety Program to safeguard employees and vehicles while ensuring a secure work environment;
  • Maintain the Safety Program Manual, which encompasses daily facility inspections, hazard assessments, safety evaluations, OSHA 300 reporting, and MSDS documentation, while advising management on necessary corrections;
  • Conduct recurrent training sessions for drivers and Supervisors on all safety-sensitive tasks, including quarterly and annual training;
  • Facilitate compliance with OSHA and ADA regulations;
  • Lead safety meetings and address all concerns with management;
  • Collaborate with Corporate Risk Services to develop new training materials and ensure compliance reporting;
  • Assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents;
  • Perform monthly evaluations of drivers and provide additional training as necessary;
  • Regularly conduct field checks to verify adherence to policies and procedures by drivers;
  • Support the Trainer as required; and
  • Fulfill additional job responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential;
  • License Requirement: A valid state-issued driver's license with an up-to-date address and acceptable driving record is mandatory;
  • DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is necessary;
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations is required;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is expected;
  • Previous experience as a Safety Coordinator with training duties is preferred;
  • Ability to work flexible shifts is necessary;
  • Some college education is preferred.
