Position Overview:
The CUA Case Manager Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the operations of a CUA case management unit. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with standards, regulations, and laws set forth by the CUA, city, state, and federal agencies. The supervisor will lead a team of Case Managers, providing guidance and support in delivering essential services to children and youth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide consultation to Case Managers in their counseling activities related to children and youth services.
  • Assign cases and review case activities to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Identify training and developmental needs of staff, conducting evaluations and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the larger CUA team to achieve goals focused on improving safety, permanency, and well-being for children, youth, and families.
  • Consult with agency officials on policies and procedures, recommending modifications as needed.
  • Screen cases to assess risk levels and eligibility for services.
  • Document and approve all activities performed within designated timelines.
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions with staff and participate in staff meetings to address program issues.
  • Assist in preparing children, youth, and families for reunification or other permanency plans.
  • Support Case Managers in their court preparation efforts.

Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Master's Degree in Social Work or a related field, such as Criminal Justice, Human Services, or Psychology, along with a minimum of two years of experience in Human Services, preferably in Child Welfare. Strong clinical writing skills and cultural sensitivity to diverse communities are essential. Proficiency in basic computer operations, including Microsoft Office Suite, is required. Knowledge of social services and family systems is also important.
