Job Summary:

Bridges Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our team as a Psychiatric Specialist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality psychiatric nursing, psychotherapy, and medication administration to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medical Psychiatric Evaluations: Conduct thorough medical psychiatric evaluations to assess clients' mental health needs.
  • Medication Management: Prescribe and manage medications to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.
  • Psychotherapy Services: Provide individual and group psychotherapy sessions to support clients' mental health and well-being.
  • Medical Consultation: Serve as a medical consultant in team meetings to provide expert advice and guidance.
  • Mobile Addiction Treatment Team: Perform evaluations and provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) on our Mobile Addiction Treatment Team van.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other department or agency-related duties or special projects as directed by your supervisor.

Requirements:

  • Education: Master of Science degree in nursing with Connecticut licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
  • Certifications: Board certified as either a clinical nurse specialist or nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
  • Experience: PMHNP (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner) certification and experience in counseling/therapeutic methods and practices.
  • Licenses: DEA license and Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration.
  • Suboxone Waiver: Suboxone Waiver or willingness to obtain Suboxone waiver.
  • Skills: Good communication skills, documentation, and computer literacy/skills, as well as knowledge of psychiatric illness and substance abuse.

Benefits:

  • Competitive Salary: $90.00 per hour.
  • Sign-on Bonus: $10,000 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments: $5,000 after 30 days of employment and $5,000 after completing the 6-month probationary period.
  • Loan Repayment: Eligible for HRSA & STAR-LRP Approved Facility loan repayment.
