Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and market the range of residential mortgage products.
- Consistently meet and surpass the company’s production benchmarks by accurately processing loan applications.
- Build and sustain relationships with real estate agents, banking professionals, builders, and other referral sources to cultivate new business and maintain existing accounts.
- Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the loan process, from application to closing, including counseling and pre-qualifying potential buyers.
- Gather and assess information regarding clients' financial situations, including income, assets, investments, and liabilities.
- Evaluate clients' needs for purchasing, building, or refinancing properties to recommend suitable financial products.
- Provide clients with insights on the pros and cons of various loan options.
- Collect all necessary documentation for applications and underwriting, along with relevant fees and lock-in details.
- Oversee the loan process, tracking status and ensuring compliance with agreed terms.
- Communicate loan progress to all relevant parties.
- Negotiate loan terms and conditions with clients.
- Stay informed about trends in the local real estate market and changes in mortgage regulations, maintaining a professional demeanor in line with company standards.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must possess the appropriate state licenses.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as a loan originator is required for Loan Originator positions, while at least 5 years of experience is necessary for Senior Loan Originator roles.
- Ability to interact effectively with regional and corporate departments, as well as real estate professionals, builders, appraisers, etc.
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to quickly analyze and process large volumes of data using relevant software technology.
- Active participation in community and job-related organizations to expand professional networks.
