Overview:
This position offers a full-time career opportunity. The role involves representing Fulton Mortgage Company as a Community Reinvestment Act Loan Officer in designated areas. The primary responsibilities include originating mortgage loans that meet Community Reinvestment Act criteria, building and nurturing relationships with real estate professionals and housing authorities, and conducting educational seminars for first-time homebuyers. The goal is to assist low to moderate-income individuals in purchasing homes and to facilitate the mortgage process tailored to their financial situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expand and develop referral networks to solicit mortgage applications. Engage with local real estate agents to establish and maintain professional relationships. Collaborate with housing authorities to educate and support first-time homebuyers. Attend open houses and community events to connect with potential clients.
- Conduct thorough interviews with loan applicants to gather and analyze financial data. Assess applicants' financial situations to determine eligibility for specific loan products. Provide informed recommendations on mortgage options, clearly explaining the benefits and risks associated with each choice.
- Engage in persuasive sales activities to attract potential clients and promote additional services offered by the company.
- Manage the loan origination process, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Maintain communication with clients throughout the loan process to ensure clarity and understanding.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years in residential mortgage lending, along with 2 years in sales and marketing. Established relationships with real estate professionals and experience with housing authorities and first-time homebuyer programs are essential.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
Additional Responsibilities:
This role may include other duties as assigned by management. All employees are expected to understand and adhere to compliance programs and policies relevant to their roles.
Compensation Transparency:
Fulton Bank is committed to transparency in compensation. The hourly rate for this position is $28.85, with eligibility for an incentive compensation plan based on individual performance.
