Key Responsibilities:

As a Mortgage Lending Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
  • Promoting and marketing our range of residential mortgage products.
  • Consistently meeting and exceeding production benchmarks by accurately processing loan applications.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with real estate agents, banking professionals, builders, and other referral sources to generate new business and maintain existing relationships.
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the loan process, from application to closing, including advising and pre-qualifying potential home buyers.
  • Gathering and analyzing customer financial information, including income, assets, investments, and debts.
  • Evaluating the needs of each customer to recommend suitable financial products tailored to their circumstances.
  • Providing guidance on the pros and cons of various loan options.
  • Collecting all necessary documentation and underwriting support materials along with relevant fees and lock-in details.
  • Overseeing the loan process, tracking loan status, and ensuring compliance with agreed terms.
  • Communicating loan progress to all relevant parties involved.
  • Negotiating loan terms and conditions with clients.
  • Staying informed about local real estate trends and changes in mortgage regulations, while maintaining a professional demeanor in line with company standards.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Necessary state licenses must be obtained.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a loan originator required for Loan Originator role; at least 5 years for Senior Loan Originator role.
  • Ability to interact effectively with regional and corporate departments, as well as real estate professionals, sales agents, builders, and appraisers.
  • Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in processing large volumes of data and utilizing appropriate software technology.
  • Active participation in community and job-related organizations to expand professional networks.
