ROLE SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the Head of Partnerships, the Growth Partnerships Manager will spearhead organizational revenue enhancement by establishing new partnerships with both startup entities and service providers (e.g., legal firms). This encompasses membership acquisition as well as engagement in 1871's events and programs.
You will collaborate closely with the Head of Partnerships to devise strategies for identifying and acquiring new members through various activities, including event participation, warm introductions, cold outreach, and managing inbound inquiries. This position is accountable for overseeing the complete sales cycle from prospecting to contract finalization. Following contract signing, you will coordinate with the Membership Experience team to ensure a seamless transition.
Moreover, you will be responsible for identifying and securing startup participation in our Innovation Labs, necessitating close collaboration with the Product team to establish participation objectives, monitor pipeline health, and guarantee a high-quality cohort of participants.
As a key representative of the organization, your influence will extend beyond membership growth; you will also create a positive and lasting impression within the startup ecosystem.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Contribute to the strategic development aimed at expanding our startup community and service provider membership.
- Oversee and maintain the vitality of our new membership pipeline.
- Research, identify, and cultivate a pipeline of potential new members.
- Generate leads through all outbound and inbound sales channels.
- Conduct sales presentations to prospective partners.
- Negotiate contract terms as necessary.
- Document and manage sales activities within our CRM (Hubspot).
- Lead efforts to secure startup involvement in our Innovation Labs.
- Monitor Lab participation pipeline and address issues as they arise.
- Facilitate post-contract internal transitions to the Member Experience team.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years of experience in sales and/or account management.
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce or Hubspot is preferred.
- A strong desire to engage with the tech industry and community.
