Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Direct and supervise a team of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective operation of the department.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, quality, and guest satisfaction.
  • Quality Control
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure high standards of cleanliness and maintenance are met.
    • Identify and address any areas of concern or improvement.
  • Guest Services
    • Ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are clean and well-maintained.
    • Respond to guest complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Training and Development
    • Provide training and coaching to housekeeping staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.
    • Develop and implement training programs to improve staff performance and productivity.
  • Operations and Administration
    • Manage the housekeeping budget and ensure that all expenses are within budget.
    • Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless operation of the hotel.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum 1 year of housekeeping experience in the hospitality industry.
    • High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
    • Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
    • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
    • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, chemical handling requirements, and use of equipment.
