General Summary:

The Restaurant Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily functions of a restaurant, ensuring adherence to company standards across all operational areas. This includes customer satisfaction, service efficiency, food preparation, safety protocols, staff management, and financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meets human resources goals by recruiting, training, supervising, and assessing all restaurant staff; managing schedules and attendance; reviewing compensation; and enforcing policies consistently and fairly.
  • Achieves operational goals by establishing production, quality, and customer service benchmarks; troubleshooting issues; and maintaining equipment and facilities to meet company standards.
  • Meets financial targets by analyzing labor requirements, scheduling to match customer demand, forecasting sales trends, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures.
  • Addresses customer concerns and resolves issues to ensure satisfaction.
  • Supervises a team of 3 to 10 employees per shift, assigning tasks and ensuring timely completion.
  • Ensures quality control of food preparation and menu items to meet established standards.
  • Monitors safety and sanitation practices to guarantee compliance with health regulations.
  • Leads by example in providing exceptional customer service.
  • Analyzes customer traffic patterns and adjusts staffing to minimize wait times.
  • Implements portion control measures and ensures accurate billing for menu items.
  • Maintains appropriate stock levels of food and supplies to ensure freshness and efficiency.
  • Conducts inspections of food storage areas to ensure proper conditions and compliance.
  • Oversees cleanliness and maintenance of all restaurant areas to exceed sanitation standards.
  • Promotes the restaurant within the local community to enhance brand visibility.
  • Completes all required documentation and reports accurately and promptly.
  • Maintains a professional appearance at all times.
  • Must be proficient in reading and understanding operational manuals and employee handbooks in English, and communicate effectively in English.

  • Capability to meet company objectives with minimal supervision.

Physical Demands:

  • Involves bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, and moving items.
  • Requires mobility throughout the restaurant.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. without assistance.
  • Involves standing and moving for extended periods.
