Position Summary

Stuardo and Associates is looking for a dedicated and inquisitive IT Support Technician to deliver Level 1 technical assistance to end users while managing client documentation, including inventory and user guidelines.

The IT Support Technician will collaborate with a high-performing support team to ensure that the IT environment for end users operates smoothly, with enhancements and corrections made as necessary to meet user expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive and document support requests, assessing the initial severity of issues and initiating the resolution process.
  • Conduct preliminary troubleshooting to identify hardware, network, application, training, or documentation failures.
  • Manage, log, track, and escalate support tickets as needed, ensuring closure by notifying relevant parties.
  • Address product support inquiries and issues, managing IT assets such as computers and software licenses, while providing one-on-one troubleshooting assistance.
  • Prepare equipment for new hires, including computers and phones, and offer support for services like remote access and mobile technology.
  • Continuously enhance client-facing platforms.
  • Act as the first point of contact for network and application issues.
  • Oversee anti-virus and malware protection.
  • Provide remote support for security, networking, and systems engineering teams.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in IT support, particularly in face-to-face interactions, with a focus on interpersonal skills.
  • Educational background in IT, ideally with an Associate's degree or equivalent technical training.
  • A service-oriented approach with the ability to relate to users with varying levels of technical expertise.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows 10 and Office 365 applications.
  • Familiarity with networked and mobile computing environments.
  • Basic knowledge of networking and information security principles.
  • Experience in a fast-paced setting, demonstrating effective time management and strong communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and case management skills.
  • Experience in the financial sector is advantageous.

Position Details:

  • Reports to: IT Support Manager
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • This is a full-time role based in New York, NY, requiring 40 hours of work per week, with potential for off-hours and weekend work for project needs.

Compensation:

Annual salary range: $45,000 - $54,000.
