About the Role

As the Safety Manager at Spark Packaging, you will be responsible for fostering a culture of safety throughout our organization. This includes implementing safety programs and objectives, evaluating new and existing programs, and leading incident investigations. You will also monitor injury, illness, and incident-related performance, and develop and implement strategic solutions to improve performance.

Additionally, you will oversee safety plans, procedures, training, etc. at the site, ensure information is current, complete, and effectively implemented, communicate findings, concerns, and deficiencies to responsible managers, and advise employees on how to minimize risks and hazards and improve EHS performance.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic solutions to improve EHS performance.
  • Oversee safety plans, procedures, training, etc. at the site.
  • Monitor injury, illness, and incident-related performance within the site.
  • Communicate findings, concerns, and deficiencies to responsible managers.
  • Advise employees on how to minimize risks and hazards and improve EHS performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a science field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to develop and present materials.
