Staff Nurse: Akron Children's Hospital

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse to join our team at Akron Children's Hospital Medical Center of Akron. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with colleagues, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and direct nursing care for patients, with a focus on family-centered care.
- Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for patients' physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs, regardless of age and developmental status.
- Perform leadership and professional duties, including precepting new employees and acting as a mentor to clinical staff.
- Participate in the development and education of staff members for clinically related issues.
- Support the provider staff and actively promote collaboration for efficient operation and quality care.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required or must be obtained within 5 years from date of hire.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support training from the American Heart Association required.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Ohio required.
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience preferred.
