About the Role

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Newborn Hospitalist to join our growing team. As a Newborn Hospitalist, you will provide comprehensive care for well newborns, attend and manage level 2 deliveries, and collaborate with a NICU team for backup and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to newborns and their families
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Ensure high standards of clinical care and patient safety
  • Communicate effectively with families, providing education and support
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities
Requirements
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatrics
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Ohio
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS and BLS certification required
