Pediatric Nephrology Physician Opportunity at Akron Children's Hospital

About the Role:
Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a skilled Pediatric Nephrology Physician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have completed Pediatric Nephrology fellowship training and possess board certification in Pediatric Nephrology.
Practice Details:
- Outpatient clinic: Approximately 60 patients/month
- Inpatient care: Average of 20 patients/month
- Dialysis patients: Currently managing four patients on dialysis; providers oversee their dialysis patients during the week
- Practice size: 3 Physicians with APP support
- Electronic Health Record (EHR): EPIC
- Access to pre and post-transplant care; transplants performed at Cincinnati Children's Hospital
Call/Schedule:
- 1:3 week at a time with at-home call
- Occasional weekend call (3 to 4 times per year)
- Balanced workload: 32 patient contact hours/8 hours admin time
- Clinic hours vary from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm based on staffing and patient needs
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pediatric nephrology care from prenatal consultation to transition to adult nephrology.
- Opportunities for teaching with a residency program and medical students from Northeast Ohio University of Medicine (NEOMED)
- Committee involvement is available for interested candidates
