Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team at Genuine Parts Company. As an On-Site CSR, you will be responsible for ensuring customer expectations are accurately determined and fully met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to customer inquiries, provide quotes, and take customer orders via various channels.
  • Order items to maintain appropriate inventory levels for Consignment customers.
  • Source products from branch inventory, Distribution Center inventory, or supplier inventory, ensuring identification and sale of Motion Industries assets.
  • Influence Motion Industries Gross Profit through negotiating sale and purchase prices within certain parameters.
  • Proactively generate sales by promoting Motion Industries products to existing customers, expediting backorders, and acting as a mentor/lead to lower-level employees.
  • May act as a subject matter expert on multiple products, back-up for Operations Manager, and handle customer returns.
  • May place orders without approval for up to $5,000 per line and $10,000 per Purchase Order, and adjust non-contract customer pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit for Motion Industries.
  • Minimize Branch freight cost by determining the most cost-effective method to fulfill customer orders and interact with suppliers to obtain pricing for items.
  • Partner with Account Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and assist customers by troubleshooting via telephone or email and identifying correct parts.
  • Attend training sessions regularly to continue professional growth and development.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and five (5) or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
  • Reliability, organization, and attention to detail required.
  • Customer service and communication skills required, along with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Moderate computer skills, including information processing, communicating internally and externally via email, using business systems, and searching capabilities to find products on the internet.
  • Good driving record required.
