Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Student Service Coach to join our team at Strayer University. As a Student Service Coach, you will serve as the primary contact for students, providing guidance and support throughout their academic journey. Your role will involve managing a pipeline of students, coaching, motivating, and mentoring them to achieve their academic goals. You will also be responsible for addressing and resolving student problems through research, collaboration, and follow-up.

Key Responsibilities:
Support students through their academic careers, providing guidance and advice on academic planning and goal-setting.
Proactively advise assigned students via various communication vehicles, ensuring timely and effective communication.
Address and resolve student problems through research, collaboration, and follow-up, ensuring that student needs are met and issues are resolved promptly.
Serve as a point of contact for student account inquiries, responding to emails and voicemails within one business day.
Document all student interaction through university applications, ensuring accurate and complete records.
Help students create academic plans, providing guidance on course selection and academic progress.
Assist students electing to use financial aid with the application process, conducting ongoing follow-up to resolve issues.
Ensure accuracy and completeness of student payment plans, monitoring student accounts and communicating with students to resolve outstanding balances.
Ensure that finalization of student registrations is in accordance with established University policy.
Monitor and outreach to students based on attendance, intervening with early at-risk students and assisting them through the satisfactory academic progress process.
Inform students of tutoring and other University resources, promoting academic success and well-being.
Implement activities to manage quarterly collection and bad debt expenses, ensuring timely and effective management of student accounts.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
2-5 years of experience in customer service, consultative sales, or account management.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and motivation.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex issues.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Strong technical skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with a flexible and responsive approach.
