We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Student Service Coach to join our team at Strayer University. As a Student Service Coach, you will serve as the primary contact for students, providing guidance and support throughout their academic journey.
Key Responsibilities- Support students through their academic careers, providing proactive advice and guidance via various communication channels.
- Address and resolve student problems through research, collaboration, and follow-up, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Serve as a point of contact for student account inquiries, responding to emails and voicemails within one business day.
- Document all student interactions through university applications, ensuring accurate and complete records.
- Help students create academic plans, providing guidance on course selection and progression.
- Assist students with financial aid applications, working closely with Corporate's Student Financial Services to resolve issues.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of student payment plans, monitoring accounts and communicating with students to resolve outstanding balances.
- Finalize student registrations in accordance with established University policy, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Monitor student attendance, intervening with early at-risk students and assisting them through the satisfactory academic progress process.
- Inform students of available tutoring and University resources, promoting academic success.
- Implement activities to manage quarterly collection and bad debt expenses, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Monitor policy compliance in accordance with Strayer University, state, and federal rules and regulations.
- Passionate about higher education and committed to student success.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
- Proven problem-solving skills, with the ability to research and resolve complex issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- College graduate or equivalent, with a bachelor's degree preferred.
- At least 2-5 years of experience in customer service, consultative sales, or account management.
- A competitive salary of $23.00 per hour.

The schedule is 4 days a week at the campus and 1 day remote. On the remote day, you will work 12-9 pm, with the option to adjust the schedule based on your time zone. You will also be required to work 1 Saturday a month for 4 hours, working remotely and choosing from either 9-1 pm or 1-5 pm shifts.
Other Requirements- Ability to travel occasionally, with reasonable accommodations provided for travel limitations.
- Ability to work onsite in a typical office environment, with mobility required within the office.
- Access to reliable internet, phone, and video conferencing capabilities at a remote location.
- Ability to meet critical thinking and problem-solving aspects aligned to job duties, as well as effectively communicating with colleagues.
- Ability to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant, with accommodations considered for schedule.
