Clinical Nurse-MedSurge-ED-Mount Sinai Hospital-FT/Days

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical team at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team, and contribute to the development of a positive and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities:- Deliver patient-centered care, incorporating the principles of Relationship Centered Care and the nursing process.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills to manage patient care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care.
- Prioritize patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning after hospital care, delegating to others as appropriate.
- Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, promotion of health, and prevention of disease.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Manage assignments within the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing, demonstrating allocation of material resources effectively.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate degree in Nursing with relevant experience and/or active matriculation in a BSN Program.
- Current registration in New York State as a Registered Nurse.
- Relevant clinical competence in Medical-Surgical nursing practice.
- Certifications in Basic Life Support (BCLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
