Job Title: Clinical Nurse - Medical-Surgical-Orthopedic 8E Mount Sinai Hospital Per Diem/Nights

Mount Sinai Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse to join our Medical-Surgical-Orthopedic 8E team. As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with the healthcare team, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Provide safe, competent, and compassionate care to patients with a variety of medical-surgical and orthopedic conditions.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop individualized care plans to meet those needs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively with the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care and coordinate patient transfers.
  • Education and Support: Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques, and provide emotional support and guidance as needed.
  • Quality and Safety: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence in patient care.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) with a current registration in New York State.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a medical-surgical or orthopedic setting.
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and any other relevant certifications for the position.
