Cancer Registry Operations Manager

At Montefiore St. Luke's Cornwall, we are seeking a skilled Cancer Registry Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our cancer registry department, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our cancer registry, including maintaining core registry functions, coordinating cancer committee minutes, and maintaining cancer conference grids.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage daily cancer registry operations, including abstracting and follow-up according to CoC and state standards
Coordinate cancer committee minutes and maintain cancer conference grids
Attend cancer committee and subcommittees as needed
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
College degree or degree in allied health field preferred
Course completion in Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology required
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) and active membership in the national and/or local cancer registrar association
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years varied experience in Cancer Registry
Knowledge of Commission on Cancer Program Standards and extensive experience with revised FORDS; Collaborative Staging; AJCC Staging; knowledge of North American Association of Central Cancer Registries Standards; knowledge of New York State reporting requirements
Direct experience with ACoS survey under current standards
Proficient with Metriq Cancer Registry Software System
Proficient in cancer data report generation and statistical analysis
Hands-on abstracting experience with 1 case per hour productivity and 98% accuracy rate
