Job Summary

The Disbursement Service Representative is a key member of our team, responsible for processing requests associated with dividend changes and cash disbursements on our insurance and individual annuity products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process returned dividend checks and related correspondence
  • Process disbursement accounting transactions for surrenders, withdrawals, and policy loans
  • Process policy quote requests from agents, customers, and third parties
  • Communicate with career and independent office staff, agents, and customers via email, telephone, or regular mail to provide policy information
  • Manage requests for ACH drafts/wire transfers with the treasury department; validate transactions are completed and accounted for accurately in the administrative system
  • Monitor areas clearing accounts and monthly reconciliations using Blackline
  • Process address change requests
  • Provide administrative and related support system functions
Requirements
  • Associate's degree preferred; high school diploma (or equivalent) with relevant business or accounting classes
  • 2+ years of office experience with A/R, A/P, or bookkeeping experience
  • Knowledge of life insurance products preferred
  • Excellent technical skills; must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook); Access database knowledge preferred
  • Professional communication skills using all available media
  • Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Detail-oriented, goal-oriented, and deadline-driven
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to be a strong contributing member of a team
  • Overtime work required as needed, and can be on short notice
Compensation and Benefits

The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience.
