Job Summary

The Quality Control Technician monitors the production processes to ensure product is within food and safety quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Inspect and test raw materials to ensure vendor compliance with specifications and established procedures.
  2. Monitor current procedures to assure compliance to required specifications, reporting any findings to QA Manager for needed changes or adjustments.
  3. Put non-conforming product or unsanitary processing equipment on HOLD status.
  4. Perform technical operations such as taking and/or shipping samples, examining/analyzing product, recording results and taking appropriate corrective action.
  5. Assist with the completion of reports requested by management.
  6. Clean, maintain, and sanitize all equipment used in the Quality Control area according to established sanitary rules, regulations, and maintenance/calibration procedures.
  7. Basic cleaning of the lab including sweeping, dusting, and cleaning the counters.
  8. Inputting analytical data
  9. Assist HR with the recruitment, hiring and training of sanitation personnel.
  10. Deliver samples for testing to outside laboratories
  11. Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Good supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills

  • Delegate responsibilities effectively
  • Ability to operate a car and maintain valid driver's license
