The ideal candidate will be a licensed Registered Dietitian with experience in senior living and a strong understanding of nutrition assessment, meal planning, and patient education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Clinical Nutrition Services: Conduct nutrition assessments, develop modified diet plans, and provide self-management training and nutrition intervention to seniors in their homes.
  • Assess and Document Resident Status: Evaluate the nutritional status of residents and complete documentation in the medical record.
  • Counsel Patients on Nutrition: Educate patients on healthy eating habits and provide customized information for specific individuals.
  • Develop and Implement Meal Plans: Create clinical meal plans that consider cost, client preferences, and chronic disease management.
  • Evaluate and Adjust Meal Plans: Monitor the effectiveness of meal plans and make adjustments as needed.
  • Promote Better Nutrition: Educate groups on diet, nutrition, and the relationship between good eating habits and disease prevention.
  • Stay Current with Nutritional Science: Stay up-to-date with the latest research and innovations in nutrition.
  • Collaborate with Staff and Interns: Orient, mentor, and train staff and interns as applicable.
  • Comply with Regulatory Standards: Adhere to federal, state, and accrediting agency regulations, as well as community confidentiality and HIPAA policies.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance: Participate in departmental Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement (QAPI) Programs.
  • Document Patient Progress: Write reports to document patient progress and outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Registered Dietitian Certification: Credentialed by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
  • Licensure: Licensed by the State Dietetics Licensing Board in applicable states.
  • Senior Living Experience: One year of experience in senior living, preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer programs.
