About the Role

The Biomedical Engineering Intern will gain hands-on experience by shadowing experienced clinical engineers, biomedical engineers, and lab engineers under the close supervision of our management team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Understanding the daily tasks and responsibilities of an engineer in a hospital environment.
  • Responding to service calls and resolving equipment issues.
  • Learning how to balance workload, document repairs, and perform preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Developing skills in vendor management, equipment calibration, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Performing preventative maintenance procedures, inventory validation, and working alongside experienced technicians in a real-time service environment.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an associate's or technical degree program in the biomedical field or equivalent military training.
  • Experience working with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including a background check and substance use screening.
