Sightpath Medical is seeking a skilled Laser Engineer to join our team. As a Laser Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and operating transportable lasers and related equipment at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities- Equipment Installation and Maintenance: Install and de-install transportable lasers and related equipment at customer sites, ensuring proper calibration and programming for surgeon approval.
- Equipment Operation: Operate both lasers when required, providing routine preventative maintenance and repairs to maximize usage and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot, remove, and replace components of the laser, calibrating to vendor specifications.
- Asset Management: Maintain all company assets in good working order, adhering to company standard operating procedures that meet or exceed standard of care.
- Preventative Maintenance: Complete Annual and Semi-Annual Preventative Maintenance checks and services on all assigned equipment, successfully completing all PM paperwork during and at the end of PM.
- Sterile Technique: Understand and adhere to proper sterile technique.
- Manual Labor: Willing and able to perform manual labor.
- Education: Degree in Laser Electro-optics, Biomedical Equipment Technology, Biomedical Electronics, Electronics, or military training equivalent.
- Electronics Proficiency: Proficiency with basic electronics and associated test equipment.
- Work Schedule: Able to work a varied work schedule and travel.
- Team Environment: Able to work in a team environment.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License.
- Physical Demands: Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
- Customer Service: Great customer service skills.
