Sightpath Medical is seeking a skilled Laser Systems Engineer to join our team. As a Laser Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and operation of our transportable lasers and related equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Install and de-install transportable lasers and related equipment at customer sites.
- Calibrate and program equipment for surgeon approval prior to surgery.
- Operate both lasers when required.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on laser systems to maximize usage and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot, remove, and replace components of the laser and calibrate to vendor specifications.
- Maintain all company assets in good working order.
- Adhere to company standard operating procedures that meet or exceed standard of care.
- Complete Annual and Semi-Annual Preventative Maintenance checks and services on all assigned equipment.
- Understand and adhere to proper sterile technique.
- Perform manual labor as required.
- Degree in Laser Electro-optics, Biomedical Equipment Technology, Biomedical Electronics, Electronics, or military training equivalent.
- Proficiency with basic electronics and associated test equipment.
- Able to work a varied work schedule and travel.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to pass company-administered road test.
- Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Great customer service skills.
