Job Summary

Erie Insurance is seeking a highly skilled Claims Support Specialist to join our team. As a Claims Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional support to our claims department, ensuring that our customers receive timely and accurate service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to claims personnel, including preparing claims documents and information within established procedures.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, escalating issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist claims personnel with various activities, including training and mentoring.
  • Perform various system-related tasks, including resolving systems problems and maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that our customers receive a positive experience.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent and two years' customer service experience in a professional setting, administrative, claims support or office experience.
  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and calendar scheduling software.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 40 words per minute and 90 net data entry keystrokes per minute.
  • Experience in the insurance industry and completion of insurance designations or course work preferred.
