About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Application Development Lead to join our team at BASYS Processing Inc. as a key member of our Business Applications team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of cloud-based business applications, working closely with our operations and sales teams to derive requirements and drive out solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Business Application Development: Develop and maintain cloud-based business applications, ensuring they meet the needs of our customers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with operations and sales teams to gather requirements, design applications, and develop automated testing for features delivered.
  • Design and Configure Solutions: Design, configure, and coach no-code/low-code teams to build custom SaaS solutions as part of an Agile development team building enterprise-level systems.
  • Manage Agile Development Teams: Lead Agile teams, fostering a dynamic and responsive work environment, and actively engaging in Agile practices, including daily stand-ups, iteration planning, demos, retrospectives, and program increment planning.
  • Ensure Quality and Compliance: Conduct peer reviews to ensure compliance with standards and best practices, and maintain close collaboration with business and Product Team Stakeholders to streamline requirements and the design of technical solutions.
Requirements
  • Experience in Software Development: Experience in software and application development with thorough knowledge of SaaS platforms and how to integrate and monitor success within these platforms.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL, data analysis, building database queries, and solid understanding of business application development processes and the full software development lifecycle.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent process orientation, planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the demonstrated ability to design effective business solutions, and strong communication skills required.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software, or other related fields, and a minimum of 5 years' experience in leading or managing the building of SaaS or Custom Code business applications.
