We're seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team at the Greenville Chamber of Commerce As a Part-Time Bookkeeper, you'll be responsible for managing our accounting and financial record-keeping duties, focusing on accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and internal reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of general ledger entries by recording financial transactions.
- Oversee the full accounts payable and receivable cycle, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliation.
- Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations to verify all transactions are accurate and accounted for.
- Assist with document preparation and ensure compliance with government and grant requirements.
- Contribute to budget preparation, financial forecasting, and analysis as needed.
- Reconcile and close assigned accounts properly at month-end and year-end.
- Provide support with ad-hoc financial tasks and reporting as required.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive financial information.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred but not required.
Working Conditions:
- This part-time position requires 20 hours per week.
