The HR Specialist will play a critical role in fostering a positive workplace culture while ensuring operational efficiency. Key responsibilities include talent acquisition, administration and compliance, and benefits administration.

Talent Acquisition

The HR Specialist will be responsible for managing full-cycle recruitment, including creating and managing job postings, screening interviews, onboarding, and collaborating with the Practice Manager to streamline recruitment and source candidates.

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Manage the offer process, including conducting background checks and extending job offers.
Administration and Compliance

The HR Specialist will be responsible for establishing and maintaining personnel records and files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with employment laws. This includes completing onboarding and offboarding procedures, providing HR-related support, and supporting performance management, including goal setting and performance reviews.

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws.
  • Manage staff schedules and perform payroll preparation.
Benefits Administration

The HR Specialist will be responsible for administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, workers compensation, and Open Enrollment. This includes providing guidance to employees on benefits and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Develop and implement benefits programs to meet the needs of employees.
  • Manage benefits administration, including Open Enrollment and benefits communication.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in HR or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR role in a healthcare or medical practice setting.
  • Ability to problem solve, conflict resolution, strategic planner, active listener.
  • EMR understanding - Athena - preferred but not required.
