Human Resources Specialist - LOA, Worker's Comp, Benefits

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team at LHH. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for managing the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, ensuring compliance with leave laws, and maintaining HR records and databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the employee onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires and departing employees.
  • Ensure compliance with leave laws, including FMLA, PFL, CFRA, and worker's compensation, and effectively communicate leave laws and procedures to employees.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date HR records and databases, including employee information and benefits.
  • Perform data entry and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to support various HR functions, including recruitment, benefits administration, and employee relations.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in HR and payroll administration, with a strong focus on leave laws and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees, management, and external vendors.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
