This role involves providing analytical and technical support, including the creation of schedules, data collection, metric tracking, report generation, and presentation development to showcase the outcomes of various analyses.

As an Energy Compliance Analyst, you will support a team dedicated to ensuring ERCOT meets its regulatory obligations regarding generation and transmission compliance inspections for power plants and transmission facilities. This includes overseeing weatherization and maintenance inspections, as well as other necessary field testing activities. You will also participate in the enhancement of software tools to streamline team processes and improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with generation entities and transmission service providers to facilitate accurate data submission and reporting.
  • Compile summary reports on inspection and audit activities.
  • Develop and maintain compliance tools, ensuring proper documentation of testing, inspections, and compliance notifications.
  • Create dashboards to track and report program data effectively.
  • Utilize advanced software applications, spreadsheet, and database programs to perform analyses.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills to collaborate with diverse groups in a professional manner.
  • Foster strong professional relationships both internally and externally.
  • Promote a safe working environment and adhere to all applicable regulations and organizational policies.
  • Continuously enhance your understanding of ERCOT's competitive energy markets.
  • Propose solutions to improve the accuracy and efficiency of weatherization activities.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and presentations as required.
  • Engage in vendor management and project management activities as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field is required. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will also be considered.

Experience: Level 2 requires a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in project management, construction, or the electric utility sector. Senior and Lead levels require 5 and 8 years of experience, respectively.

Preferred Skills: Familiarity with power plants, inverter-based operations, and project management experience is advantageous. Proficiency in MS Office Suite and database management is also preferred.

Other Requirements: Some travel may be necessary. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a reliable vehicle.
