Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Front Desk Agent to join our team at Courtyard by Marriott in Traverse City. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service and hospitality to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration and Check-Out: Perform guest registrations, check-ins, and check-outs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Room Assignments and Special Requests: Assign rooms and accommodate special requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Hotel Operations and Policies: Understand and adhere to daily hotel operations, policies, and procedures to ensure a smooth guest experience.
  • Cash Handling and Bank Procedures: Handle cash and credit transactions accurately and follow bank procedures for check-outs and drop procedures.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Answer phones, handle mail, and take messages while providing excellent communication and problem-solving skills to resolve guest issues.
  • Knowledge of Hotel Amenities and Services: Familiarize yourself with hotel amenities, features, and services to provide guests with accurate information.
  • Emergency Procedures: Know and follow emergency procedures to ensure guest safety and well-being.
Requirements
  • Hotel or Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in a hotel or customer service role is preferred.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and colleagues.
  • Computer and Telephone Skills: Proficient in using computer systems and telephones to perform job duties.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
