About the Position:

This is a Military Technician position with the US Army, supporting the 63rd Readiness Division, Reserve Personnel Action Center (RPAC).

The selected candidate will be responsible for providing technical advice on establishment and maintenance of pay accounts, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, as well as researching complex pay issues.

Key responsibilities include preparing military personnel actions, such as evaluation reports, applications for appointment, promotions, individual orders, retirement point cards, or transfers.

The ideal candidate will have experience in personnel action processing and recordkeeping, as well as planning and evaluating time in grade.

Additional responsibilities include providing guidance on administrative and personnel matters, such as recruitment, retention, assignment and transfer, Military Occupation Specialty, personnel strength, discharge, retirement, promotion, discipline, or utilization.

The selected candidate will also be responsible for researching and analyzing data, identifying trends, and reporting results to management.

Requirements:

Applicants must meet one of the employment authority categories below and provide documents that prove eligibility.

Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).

Education:

Applicants must have a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience is required, which includes preparing military personnel actions, researching or analyzing pay issues, reviewing incoming regulations, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations, and advising on pay and personnel processes.

Additional Information:

Direct deposit of pay is required, and selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.

Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest.

New Army Reserve Military Technicians may be authorized moving expenses to their first official duty station.
