Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Virginia Jobs. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are available for surgical procedures.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgical team, maintaining a high level of aseptic technique and sterile conscience.
  • Review surgeon preference cards and case carts to gather necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment for general surgical procedures.
  • Provide safe patient care, demonstrating principles of aseptic technique and sterile conscience.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective surgical procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist Training Program preferred.
  • Three years of experience in a surgical setting required.
  • Current Registration with the Virginia Board of Medicine required at the time of hire.
  • Certified to practice as a Surgical Technologist by NBSTSA or NCCT required.
Compensation and Benefits

Competitive hourly rate of $38.02, with opportunities for premium pay and travel allowance.

Full-time and part-time positions available, with a 12-month commitment to work 48 scheduled weekends in a 12-month period.

Benefits include health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
