Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Virginia Jobs. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and prepare surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures
  • Maintain a sterile field and anticipate the needs of the surgical team
  • Ensure adherence to aseptic technique and sterile conscience
  • Assist in the preparation and setup of surgical equipment and supplies
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe patient care
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Currently enrolled or graduated from a surgical technologist training program accredited by CAHEEP/AHEBS or NCCT
  • One year of experience working as a surgical technologist
  • Certified to practice as a Surgical Technologist by NBSTSA or NCCT
  • Current Registration with Virginia Board of Medicine
Working Conditions

This role requires standing for prolonged periods, repetitive motion, and lifting heavy instrument sets. You will be exposed to cold, radiation, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
