About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at UVA Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and prepare surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures.
  • Maintain a sterile field and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
  • Ensure adherence to aseptic technique and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduation from a surgical technologist training program accredited by CAHEEP/AHEBS or NCCT.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist by NBSTSA or NCCT.
  • Registration with the Virginia Board of Medicine.
