Assistant Director of Environmental Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director to join our team at Compass Group Careers. As an Assistant Director, you will play a key role in directing and overseeing the operational needs of the Housekeeping Department.
Key Responsibilities:- Establish and Maintain Operational Standards: Develop and implement effective housekeeping standards and procedures to ensure a clean and safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
- Supervise and Train Staff: Recruit, select, hire, evaluate, and recommend termination of housekeeping personnel, as well as provide ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure staff are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
- Coordinate Housekeeping Activities: Plan and coordinate housekeeping schedules, hours, and areas of work to ensure adequate services are rendered to all areas of the facility.
- Conduct Inspections and Evaluations: Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of the facility to identify areas for improvement and recommend action items to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate with Stakeholders: Develop and maintain effective relationships with hospital departments, administration, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination of housekeeping activities.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent work history required; progressive growth in the field of healthcare housekeeping facility maintenance preferred.
- Leadership and Management Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team of housekeeping staff, with a strong focus on quality, customer service, and employee development.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and oral communication, listening, and empathy skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze problems, identify solutions, and implement effective solutions to improve housekeeping operations and services.
