Position Summary: The Senior Mobile Equipment Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing and executing repairs on a wide range of mobile equipment. This role requires extensive knowledge and experience in internal combustion engines, transmissions, and both electrical and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Independently diagnose, identify, and rectify issues with mobile equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Exhibit a high level of responsibility for the maintenance and care of the mobile equipment fleet.
  • Demonstrate mastery of the skills and competencies required for lower-level mechanic positions.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Expertise in rebuilding major components such as engines, transmissions, pumps, and electrical systems according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Ability to analyze failure causes and implement effective corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Proficient in the use of various mechanical tools and diagnostic equipment, including multimeters and gauges.
  • Capability to supervise and guide junior mechanics during repair processes.
  • Strong communication skills to convey equipment issues to supervisors and external technicians.

  • Extensive mechanical experience is essential.
  • Physical capability to perform demanding labor tasks.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety.
