Job Title: Line Cook

We are seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our team at Emmy Squared Pizza. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing all food items on the menu, ensuring consistency, quality, and accuracy of recipes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Food Preparation: Prepare all food items on the menu, including Detroit-style pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, and salads.
  • Menu Execution: Expertly prepare menu items to meet the highest standards of quality and taste.
  • Kitchen Operations: Maintain smooth kitchen operations by effectively communicating with the team and executing tasks efficiently.
  • Food Safety: Adhere to strict food safety regulations and health department guidelines, maintaining the highest level of cleanliness and safety in the kitchen.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance to management.
  • Work Environment: Keep work area neat and clean at all times, perform light cleaning duties, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year experience as a Line Cook in a full-service restaurant.
  • Cooking Techniques: Strong understanding of cooking techniques and ingredient usage.
  • Recipe Execution: Ability to follow recipes and procedures accurately.
  • Kitchen Equipment: Knowledge of kitchen equipment and its proper usage.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritize responsibilities.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift/carry items up to 40 lbs. and push/pull items up to 75 lbs.
  • Certifications: ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification is a plus.
