Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist to join our team at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency. As a Contract Specialist, you will play a critical role in planning and managing acquisitions to procure a variety of products and services for our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct market research and develop acquisition plans/strategies for moderately complex acquisitions, coordinating with the program office and senior contracting officers as needed.
  • Review proposals and draft contractual documents, including contract modifications and problem resolution.
  • Administer contracts, including monitoring contractor performance, preparing modifications, and resolving problems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees.
  • Must obtain DAWIA Certification in Contracting within 36 months of appointment.
  • Experience in conducting market research, administering contracts, and preparing contractual documents.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience in utilizing a variety of contract types, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Materials (T&M), Cost-Reimbursement, Incentive, and Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ).
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
Working Conditions

This position is a DCIPS position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C DoD Components with DCIPS positions apply Veterans' Preference to preference eligible candidates as defined by Section 2108 of Title 5 USC, in accordance with the procedures provided in DoD Instruction, Volume 2005, DCIPS Employment and Placement.
