Critical Care Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Nurse to join our team in Asheville, North Carolina. As a Step Down Unit Registered Nurse, you will provide specialized care for patients transitioning from critical care.
About the Role
The ideal candidate will have two years of recent experience in Step Down nursing and possess strong communication and adaptability skills. Responsibilities include assessing, monitoring, and treating patients, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical units.
- Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A current RN license.
- BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility).
- Two years of recent Step Down experience.
