Life Science Research Professional 2

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Life Science Research Professional 2 to join our team at the Stanford University School of Medicine. As a key member of our research group, you will be responsible for conducting complex experiments, analyzing data, and contributing to the development of new research protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct independent research projects, including designing and implementing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and interpreting results.
- Collaborate with principal investigators and lab members to develop and implement research protocols.
- Develop and maintain detailed records of experiments and outcomes.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the preparation of papers for publication.
- Supervise and train new staff and students as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in a related scientific field and two years of relevant work experience, or Master's degree in a related scientific field.
- Comprehensive understanding of scientific principles and general computer skills.
- Ability to work under deadlines with general guidance and maintain detailed records of experiments and outcomes.
This position may require working in close proximity to blood-borne pathogens and may require work in an environment where animals are used for teaching and research. The employee must perform tasks that require the use of personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses and shoes, protective clothing and gloves, and possibly a respirator.
