Ophthalmic Assistant

Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics is seeking a skilled Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the ophthalmology department.
Responsibilities
Perform special ophthalmological services, preparing and maintaining equipment as needed.
Create and maintain patient medical records under the supervision of an ophthalmologist or optometrist.
Provide supportive patient care, assisting in the maintenance of a safe environment and promoting efficiency of operations.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification is preferred.
