About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team at Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics. As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our ophthalmology team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform special ophthalmological services, preparing and maintaining equipment as needed.
  • Create and maintain patient medical records under the supervision of an ophthalmologist or optometrist.
  • Provide supportive patient care, promoting a safe and efficient environment.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting.
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification is preferred.
